9 rows of our historic box beams appear to protrude through the wall, complimenting this designer kitchen makeover. This home was featured in the Atlanta Journal Constitution and Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles during the 2018 Atlanta Tour of Kitchens.
Historic Charm: In older homes, structural beams are often discovered beneath a layer of paint, sheetrock, or plaster. Home Soul's Reclaimed finish is one of our many authentic looks that provide the character and charm of truly historic woodwork.

Defining Open Floor Plans
With the popularity of open floor plans comes the design challenge of defining the space. The builder and designer on this new construction project chose to make a statement by visually separating the kitchen and family areas with 12-inch posts and header beam while 10-inch beams run to the opposite end of the room. This eloquent design choice simplifies the location of home furnishings and accents without impeding the open flow of the architect's vision.
